Grigorescu Mansion is a small private location, managed by the family. We, Juranda and Thorsten, a Romanian-German couple, purchased the abandoned mansion and related buildings in 2011 and renovated everything step by step, with the help of local craftsmen and construction materials from the region. The mansion is the headquarters of Terra Carpatica (www.terracarpatica.com). Our philosophy is based on the concept of slow food with fresh, regional and high quality products. This is the reason why we work only with selected local farmers and small producers in Buzau County. Most of the fruits and vegetables we use come from our own garden and orchard - everything is organically grown. We look for herbs, truffles, mushrooms and berries behind the mansion, in the Carpathian forest.
